New Media has been a great source in fostering creativity in so many ways. In the article "Creators, Audiences, and New Media: Creativity in an Interactive Environment", it states how new media offers ways in studying creativity and audiences. Users from all around the world have the ability to share their thoughts, whether its words, art, photography, it all comes into the same use and its giving people a voice. Without New Media, people wouldn't have the chance to interact with others, or find new interests, or share their thoughts. Creativity can be expressed faster and easier thanks to the platform New Media gives.

    Hi! I totally agree with your point. I can not imagine our parents live about 20-30 years ago when they were not able to share their thoughts as easy as us. I think this accessibility nowadays allows people to find like-minded people a lot easier and gain more confidence in their believes which then boosts their creativity.

With so many technological advancements occurring I believe a new type of new media that I would like to see would be holographic calls. We have the ability to face time/video chat, send videos to one another but holographic calls I believe would be the next best thing. Being able to not only send a video of your self to someone, but to send it in a 360 angle where it appears to seem that you are directly in front of the person on the other end, in REAL TIME I believe would be a success. Key words being 360 degree angle and real time, there isn't something like this on the market yet. We've seen it in movies but to have the ability to use it with the device on our hands would make a mark on the history of technology.

Privacy

As years go by, the use of social media has been increasing, and along side so has technological advancements. These advancements have been used to help aid in our privacy online, but thanks to these advancements the level of risk our privacy faces is also escalating. In the article "The Wild West of Privacy", the author mentions how data is collected by these online companies, and then sold to external companies who use this data to figure out what our interests are, (personal to non-personal)which can put a person in danger. Hackers can access this information and steal credit card info, identity theft, and so on. Although some social media accounts do offer the choice of making your account private or public, nothing is every really private therefore, confidentiality is never guaranteed.
